Welcome to Sisters of the Community, (SOC) a 501 (c) (3), nonprofit organization founded in December 2005. SOC is also the parent organization of DonorsResource.org. Navigate these pages and take a trip down memory lane.
Thanks to the support of countless people, Sisters of the Community distributed over 20,000 in-kind donations within 18 months to families in need.
In October 2007, we moved away from our physical distribution center to rock a new model of giving. In other words, we no longer take part in the storage or delivery of in-kind donations.
April of 2008 we launched an online hub—DonorsResource.org—a VIRTUAL warehouse that connects donors who want to give in-kind donations with nonprofit organizations that need them. Now everyone can pay it forward online.
